Caramelized Bread Pudding with Vanilla Bean Whip Cream

The restaurant is located in the South Coast Plaza mall near Bloomingdale’s. I came here with a friend for dinner on a weekday and the restaurant was packed. Nice atmosphere inside and service was great. I thought the food was good, it wasn’t like WOW, AMAZING. The amuse bouche had interesting flavor and had pumpkin taste. The Braised Short Ribs were cooked really well and very soft. It was very flavor but I thought I can order that anywhere else where they serve braised short ribs. The Seared Scallops with Chickpeas in the creamy sauce was really good. I love scallops and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The creamy sauce complements well with this dish. On the dessert part, I really enjoyed the Greek Yogurt Parfait because the presentation was really pretty and it wasn’t too sweet. The Caramelized Bread Pudding was too sweet for me.

It was a great dinner to catch up with friends. Definitely a spot to eat after shopping at South Coast Plaza. But remember to make reservations ahead of time!
